I found this very friendly B&B during the summer of 2010, having just joined a local company, whilst looking for a place to stay one or two nights a week. I have been a regular guest since then which is evidence of what a nice place it is. In that time I have stayed in all three of the rooms and both of the suites, and I can confirm that they are all very comfortable and well equipped. The farm itself is near the church at the end of the village which means that it is nice and quiet, ensuring a peaceful nights’ sleep. There is also plenty of parking available right outside the front door and some great views over this part of Warwickshire. Sue is a great hostess and I have learned to enjoy her cooked breakfasts, as well as a regular update on the farm and the horses. I have found that the Antelope Inn in the village, which is about 5 minutes walk away from the B&B, is a pretty good local pub with tasty food and a good range of bitter. The website and Sue’s mastery of email also makes booking very easy. I would strongly recommend Church Hill Farm B&B and I’m planning to continue to use it on a regular weekly basis.

We will return! Our stay at the Church Hill Farm very tired on a rainy evening. We were shown to our large room with beautiful accommodations right away and soon were sound asleep on a comfortable bed. Our hosts, Sue and David, have made this 400 plus year old farmhouse into a top notch B&B. The huge English breakfasts are served in a dining area with timbered ceilings and huge wooden doors. Just the furnishings here (both decorative and functional) would be worth the stop. We met a couple from Michigan who are on their third stay and read about others who return in the guest book. It is central to Stratford Upon Avon, Warwick, Oxford, Blenheim and the West Midlands. Don’t hesitate to book!

If you are a car enthusiast there is plenty to see over the next few months at the Heritage Centre ranging from the “Old Ford Rally “in July, 64th Vintage Motorcycle Club hold their” Banbury Run” in June .
The Mini plus many many more.
I love it when some of the old cars come to stay, they get washed, polished and cared for like they were the family pet.

Make a Mini Break in warwickshire and Visit Compton Verney and the RSC in Stratford

Shakespeares rarely performed play King John is at the RSC (great reviews from the critic this week) the swan theatre until 15th September.
Compton Verney has Gainsbouroughs Landscapes until mid June and French and British painting from Impressionism to the 1920s also until mid June

Stratford Literary Festival

There is a few more days left of Stratford upon Avon Literary Festival, this could be a reasonable way of coping with bad weather if you need to get out of the showers.
It finishes on 7th May and includes a wide range of writers, Jeremy Paxman,Jenni Murray, Sue Townsend and more.

RSC Theatre

Guests staying for the theatre really enjoyed it. You can never be sure what sort of twist the RSC will put on the plays but this was really good.

I had a lovely day with my Farmstay Group visiting Mallory Court, getting some new ideas and inspirations. We met the chefs, houskeeping team and Head of destination Management at Visit England.
